Aeptha

Aeptha’s current work includes serving as Magus of Light Havens’ Magickal Lodge, public teaching, ceremonies, consulting, and counseling. Aeptha’s name was bestowed upon her by her last Master Teacher Shakmah Winddrum. In ancient Tibetan the name means, “She who loves the Sun”. Over the course of seventeen years of training and initiations, Shakmah taught Aeptha the esoteric mysteries of Solomonic Magick, along with an education in Western and African traditions. While Aeptha works with many inner level contacts, her primary indwelling contact for her school is through the Solar Mystery Tradition.

Alexis A. Arredondo

Alexis A. Arredondo having grown up on the border of South Texas, was fascinated by folklore and spiritual folk-practice from a very young age. He learned folk magic and traditional brujería from a local bruja in his hometown, and later embarked on a journey in the sacred healing art of Curanderismo, inspired by famous healers like Don Pedrito Jaramillo. Alexis also dedicated himself into the cult of the Holy Death and several necromantic systems, including Tantric Aghor Yoga, Brazilian Kimbanda, and Palo Mayombe, in which he is now a Tata Nganga. He co-owns City Alchemist Witch Shop in downtown East Austin and has co-authored two books, Magia Magia: Invoking Mexican Magic and Blood of Brujeria.

Mat Auryn

Mat Auryn is an influential author and teacher in occultism and witchcraft. His books Psychic Witch, Mastering Magick, and The Psychic Art of Tarot offer practical insights into psychic and magickal practices. He also co-authored Pisces Witch with Ivo Dominguez, Jr. Mat’s work draws from various spiritual and magickal traditions he’s studied and trained in, aiming to synthesize them in accessible and practical ways. Beyond writing, Mat worked for many years as a professional psychic and tarot reader in Salem, Massachusetts, as well as his own private practice. He is on the faculty at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, and co-hosts THE CIRCLE IS podCAST with Rachel True. Residing in California’s Bay Area, he co-owns Datura Trading Co. and Modern Witch University.

Ike Baker

Ike Baker is an author (A Formless Fire: Rediscovering the Magical Traditions of the West, Tria Prima 2024; Ætheric Magic: A Complete System of Elemental, Celestial & Alchemical Magic, Llewellyn 2025) independent scholar, international speaker, and practitioner of eastern and western ceremonial traditions. Ike also hosts the ARCANVM channel & podcast where he produces high quality documentary-style content on magic, occultism, and related currents, and facilitates conversations with some of the foremost practitioners, scholars, and authors in the fields of magic and esotericism. He has studied and practiced Hermetic Qabalah, ceremonial magic, esoteric Taoism, and related currents for 20+ years and is a senior initiate of several lineages within the western esoteric traditions. Mawiyah Kai
El-Jamah Bomani

Mawiyah Kai El-Jamah Bomani is an award-winning writer, educator, and spirit woman born and raised in the most African City in the North America – New Orleans. Mawiyah is an eighth-generation Witch, Egun Medium, and Priestess of OYA in the Yoruba system of spirituality. Mawiyah hosts FishHeadsinRedGravy, a podcast dedicated to celebrating marginalized people of the esoteric/occult world. She is the recipient of the Southern Black Theatre Festival’s 2012-2013 Playwright of the Year award for her play, Spring Chickens. Mawiyah is the author of the newly released Conjuring the Calabash: Empowering Women with Hoodoo Spells and Magick, published by Llewellyn Worldwide.

Karen Bruhin

Karen Bruhin is a 3rd degree initiate within the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel (ASW), www.sacredwheel.org) a Wiccan syncretic tradition. She is the High Priestess of Tenders of the Earth Temple (http://tet-asw.org/) founded in 2011 and which is based in NW Philadelphia. A practitioner of a variety of esoteric disciplines, Karen has been active in Wicca and the local Pagan community for the past 20+ years. Additionally, Karen is the Captain of the Gryphons, a magickal order within the ASW that is charged with the magickal protection of the ASW. She offers ongoing classes through Mt. Airy Learning Tree and through the coven. She is a past board member for Philadelphia Pagan Pride and has previously taught at Spring Magick, Autumn Magick, Philadelphia Pagan Pride, South Jersey Pagan Pride, Pagan Picnic, Free Spirit Gathering, and Sacred Space.

T. Thorn Coyle

T. Thorn Coyle (they/them) worked in many strange and diverse occupations before settling in to write full time. A student of the magical arts for over forty years, they have taught in nine countries, on four continents, and in twenty-five states. A queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent mystic with a chronic illness, Thorn also lives with the after effects of a brain injury. Author of the Seashell Cove Paranormal Mystery series, the Pride Street Paranormal Cozy Mysteries, The Steel Clan Saga, The Witches of Portland, The Mouse Thief Capers, and The Panther Chronicles, Thorn’s multiple non-fiction books include You Are the Spell, Sigil Magic for Writers, Artists & Other Creatives, Kissing the Limitless, and Make Magic of Your Life. Dr Alexander Cummins

Dr Alexander Cummins is a contemporary cunning-man and historian of magic. His magical specialities are the dead (folk necromancy), divination (geomancy) and the grimoires.

His published works include Nazarth: Pillars of Gladness (2022), An Excellent Booke of the Arte of Magicke(2020) with Phil Legard, The Starry Rubric (2012), A Book of the Magi (2018) and several chapbooks as well as essays in collections by both occult and academic presses.

Morgan Daimler

Morgan Daimler is a witch and priest of the Daoine Maithe who teaches classes on Irish myth and magical practices, fairies, and related subjects in the United States and internationally. She has been published in multiple anthologies as well as presenting papers at university conferences. Through Moon Books Morgan has written a range of titles including Pagan Portals the Morrigan, Gods and Goddesses of Ireland, and Paid With a Kiss. She also has a high fantasy novel 'Into Shadow' through Cosmic Egg and has an urban fantasy/paranormal romance series called Between the Worlds.

Tamsin Davis-Langley

Tamsin Davis-Langley (she/her) is a 3º Gardnerian Wiccan high priestess and an initiate of the Anderson Feri tradition. Under her pen name Misha Magdalene, she is the author of Outside the Charmed Circle: Exploring Gender & Sexuality in Magical Practice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Washington. Her areas of magical focus include ecstatic ritual, grimoiric sorcery, and the history of modern Western mystery traditions, and her secular pastimes include writing, making music, playing tabletop roleplaying games, and using applied force and harsh language to turn recalcitrant materials into arts and crafts. Ivo Domínguez Jr

Ivo Domínguez, Jr. has been a witch since 1978 and is one of the founders and Elders of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. He is the anchor author for the new twelve book Witch’s Sun Sign Series. Ivo is the author of The Four Elements of the Wise, Keys to Perception, Casting Sacred Space, Practical Astrology for Witches & Pagans, and Spirit Speak. Robin Fennelly

Robin Fennelly is an Elder within The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel Tradition and serves as High Priestess of Coven of the Mystic Path. Her spiritual journey is strongly rooted in Eastern philosophy, Egyptian High Alchemy and the Western Magickal systems that form a core foundation that is diverse in knowledge and rich in spiritual practice. As a teacher of magickal studies she incorporates Energetic Anatomy, Hermetic Qabalah, Astrology, Egyptian High Alchemy, Planetary/Star Magick and more as the foundations of the diverse selection of workshops she has taught throughout the Pagan community for more than 25 years. Heather Greene

Heather Greene is a freelance writer, journalist, and editor at Llewellyn Worldwide. She is the author of the award winning book Lights, Camera, Witchcraft: A Critical History of Witchcraft in American Film and Television. Heather has been studying pop culture and the occult for over 30 years. She has a B.A. in film at Wesleyan University and an M.A. in film studies from Emory University,and is a member of the Phoenix Rising Tradition of Atlanta. She is a co-host of The Witches' Movie Coven podcast and co-founder of the Mystic South Conference. Haeleron

Haeleron continues his work with Hephaestus on both the physical and cosmic levels. While being a life-long pagan, and a practicing witch for the past 14 years, the recent year has brought him into a strong contact with Ptah, Anubis, and Sehkmet, who are currently driving his spiritual growth. Haeleron’s current work continues to create a unique mix of science and the esoteric. His focus has been moving quickly from the physical to the cosmic level. Donyelle Headington

Donyelle Headington is a mixed-race Black woman, spiritual practitioner, and cultural worker rooted in ancestral traditions and everyday acts of liberation. Raised in North Minneapolis, her practice is shaped by her Southern family’s spiritual practices, the sacred rhythms of Black life, and the grounded wisdom of Midwestern folk. Donyelle walks a path woven with African American and European American folk traditions, studying under Elders from many lineages to serve a richly diverse community. She is initiated into a lineage of Mayan curanderismo and walks the Norse-Germanic path of the völva as a member of the Völva Stav Guild. Grounded in an Afrocentric Kemetic community, she teaches ancestor veneration, spiritual herbalism, and soul-crafting—a handwork-based divinatory and healing practice. A published author, sculptural artist, and community mother, Donyelle’s work reclaims the sacred as resistance and renewal. You’ll often find her barefoot in her garden, tending plants, prayers, and people with deep love and care.

Maevius Lynn

Maevius Lynn is a writer, artist, and lecturer who currently resides in the Southern United States. Her work approaches Thelema as a living tradition from the perspective of a practitioner. She is particularly interested in getting people to practice magick and not leaving it as a niche interest relegated to history books. Some of her work can be found on her YouTube channel as well as published magazine articles. Her dedication to educating others and sharing her love of the occult can be found in online spaces where she collaborates with other authors and creators on numerous different projects.

Katrina Messenger

Katrina Messenger is a poet, priestess, warrior, and witch. She is also a full-time Wiccan mystic and an ordained minister. For over thirty five years, she has studied mythology, esoteric sciences, and human development. She is the founder of Connect DC (1999) and Reflections Mystery School (2004) in Washington, DC. Katrina is a certified Archetypal and Dream Patterning Analyst through the Assisi Institute. She is the author of Elemental Psychology: Using Jungian Psychology and the Sacred Elements for Spiritual Development, Descent: A Journey for Women, and Dark Beauty. Katrina is an elder in her community and a recognized leader and teacher worldwide.

Mortellus

Mortellus is a lineaged 3° Gardnerian High Priestex, Mortician, Necromancer, Medium, and world-renowned thought leader in deathcare and the magic of death, presently busy at work on their fourth book, with their second, "The Bones Fall in a Spiral: A Necromantic Primer," published by Crossed Crow Books, arriving on shelves October 3rd, 2023. Mortellus is a Mortician, and in addition to their degrees in Mortuary Sciences, holds degrees in Design, Education and Fine Arts. Their areas of expertise include necromancy, necrobotany, mediumship, and the funerary rites of minority faith groups. Currently residing in Western North Carolina on three acres that doubles as the Covenstead for the Coven of Leaves with their spouse and twin children. Their adult child, who resides in Asheville North Carolina, is a student of Health Sciences at UNCA.

Michael G. Smith

Michael G Smith has been practicing Wicca, Magick, and various esoteric disciplines since 1989 and became active in the Pagan community in 1993 when he joined the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, a Wiccan organization in the Mid-Atlantic region, and serves as an Elder of the ASW, responsible for the many covens of the Tradition and is heavily involved with the Tradition’s New Alexandrian Library. He is inspired by his studies of astrology, Qabalah, ritual, and the Fae. He lives in southern Delaware and is one of the stewards of Seelie Court, 100 acres of Pagan-owned land dedicated to the growth of the Pagan paths.

Thealandrah

Thealandrah is a pagan drawn to the archetypal energies of the Ancient Egyptian pantheon who once participated in a private evening ritual in the Great Pyramid of Giza. She is a member of Light Haven, a contacted mystery school in western North Carolina, and has been studying with Aeptha since its inception thirty years ago. Initiated into the Solomonic tradition by Shakmah Winddrum and Aeptha, she is now an Adept, Mahceptress and High Priestess of the lodge. Thealandrah is an aspiring animist, panpsychist, mystic, ceremonialist, and artist privileged to live in the mountains among tree friends, a sweet dog, Xanah, and that guy she’s been joyously traipsing through time with, Abbathoniah. Aidan Wachter

Aidan Wachter is an animist magician/witch-thing. He believes that magic is a natural part of the human experience and one that, when ignored, can lead to pathological states both in the individual and the societies they are part of.

His focus is on working with allied spirit ecologies and what he calls the Old Lines: the blood and spirit ancestors that sit well behind those ‘known’ to us and that run back to points long before the rise of homo sapiens. He believes that magic is largely a process of remembering in body, mind, and spirit.

Maria Wander

Maria Wander is the NYC-based High Priestess to the coven Order of the World Tree and an initiate within the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel, Gardnerian, and Cabot Traditions. A practicing astro-mage, ritualist and herbalist, she creates talismanic remedies, herbal/gem tinctures, and flower essences. A CAPISAR-certified astrologer and Director for the National Council of Geocosmic Research, her foci includes Hellenistic, Medieval, and Uranian astrology. She is an adept reader of Tarot, Lenormand, and Chaldean/Destiny cards. Maria holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and is a Federal biomedical informaticist, hypnotherapist, fiber artist, and university professor. James C. Welch

Jim Welch is High Priest of Troupe of the Starry Door, a coven of the Assembly of
the Sacred Wheel. He is one of the founding members of the ASW, active in the
Wiccan/Pagan community since 1981. He has recently become one of the Elders of the ASW. He was the chair of the committee that wrote the ASW original code of ethics and the committee that recently revised it. Jim practices a variety of forms of healing
touch/healing ritual/sweat lodge and is certified in Holistic Nursing. He is the Holistic Nurse of the year for 2024- 2025. Jim is one of the stewards of Seelie Court, 102 acres of wooded land in Southern Delaware.

Laura Tempest
Zakroff

An artist, author, and fusion bellydance performer, Rhode Island-based Renaissance Witch Laura Tempest Zakroff is a simmering cauldron of talents and projects. She penned the award-winning “Sigil Witchery,” as well as a library’s worth of tomes on modern witchcraft. A professionally trained visual artist as well, her talent in weaving meaning into design shines through in her oracle decks, which feature her original mystical folklore-inspired artwork. Her musical collaborations and transcendent dance round out the performance layer of her multidimensional artistry.
Although her craft may cover a wide range, she ties it all together as a steadfast mentor in modern witchcraft. She is a facilitator of social change for witches and pagans, and founded the grassroots movement We Are Aradia to inspire others to take a stand through both magical and mundane activism.
